Late afternoon arrival at Tallinn airport. Transfer the short distance to Estonia’s capital city of Tallinn and check-in at the Hotel Telegraaf, a 5-star luxury hotel in the heart of the Old Town. A welcome dinner is at the hotel’s acclaimed Restaurant Tchaikovsky, renowned for its Russian cuisine.
Tue 4 June
Meet your guide for a walking tour of the Old Town. Highlights include the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky with its interesting collection of icons, the Gothic Town Hall, Old Pharmacy House (the oldest continuously running pharmacy in Europe) and the famous Katariina Gild street lined with open studios and artisanal shops. Lunch in a local restaurant before a visit to Toompea Castle, home to the Estonian Parliament. Return to the hotel to relax before walking the short distance to the opera house for a performance of Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman.

Arvo Pärt is Estonia’s greatest living composer and is particularly known for
his self-invented compositional technique, tintinnabuli, best illustrated by his popular work Spiegel im Spiegel. A trip to the architecturally impressive Arvo Pärt Center in Laulasmaa combines the composer’s personal archive with
audio and video recordings. Back in Tallinn, lunch is at the cosy Resturant Platz. Spend the evening at leisure or opt for a performance of Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet The Sleeping Beauty.
Thu 6 June
The morning is for you to spend at leisure, shopping or maybe taking advantage of the hotel’s Spa facilities. Talinn is well-known for its marzipan and a fun workshop is organized with the chance to make and decorate this delicious treat. Sample modern Estonian cuisine at Restaurant Kaerajaan and later that day a farewell dinner is at the famed restaurant Mon Repos with enchanting interiors and set in the beautiful Kadrior Park. This is followed by a performance of Verdi’s La traviata.
