Afternoon arrival at Oslo airport and transfer to the 4-star Thon Hotel Opera, located in the heart of the city and just 5 minutes’ walk from the Opera House. Welcome dinner in the hotel or a local restaurant.

Sat 25 May

Meet your guide for a morning walking tour of the city, beautifully situated at the head ofthe Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forest. Sights of interest will include the City Hall and the Nobel Peace Centre. The afternoon is at leisure before walking to the early evening performance at the opera house.

Sun 26 May

This morning we visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park, containing works by Gustav Vigeland and mainly completed between 1939 and 1949. We continue to the Holmenkollan Skijump Museum and Tower, before lunch in a local restaurant. In the mid-afternoon we return to the opera house for a backstage tour which was designed by the architecture firm Snøhetta and is constructed from marble and granite. The tour, accompanied by an English guide, will offer a chance to hear more about the spectacular architecture and the impressive facilities. Early evening performance.

Mon 27 May

A free morning to rest, sightsee or do some last-minute shopping. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for your homeward journey.
