Tue 25 Apr

Afternoon arrival in St Petersburg and transfer to the 5-star Domina Prestige Hotel, situated on the Moika river off St Isaac’s Square and only a 10 minute walk from the Mariinsky Theatre. Welcome dinner in a local restaurant.

Wed 26 Apr

Join your guide to take a tour of the city by coach, seeing sights along the famous Nevsky Prospekt, the Spit of Vasily Island, Palace Square and the Church on Spilled Blood. Return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure before the evening performance in the original Mariinsky Theatre.

Thu 27 Apr

This morning we make our way to the Hermitage Museum for a guided tour of the Winter Palace and its vast collection of treasures including the Old Masters’ Collection and the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists’ Galleries. Return to the hotel for a free afternoon or you may stay in the Hermitage to continue your visit independently. Optional evening ballet performance at Mariinsky II.

Fri 28 Apr

Join your guide for an excursion to Peterhof, a Palace and Park built for Peter the Great and improved upon by his daughter Empress Elisabeth, and often known as the ‘Russian Versailles’. Lunch is included in a local restaurant. Return to St Petersburg for a free evening.

Sat 29 Apr

Today we attend a matinee ballet performance; transfer in the late morning to the Old Mariinsky Theatre. The performance will be followed by an early farewell dinner served in a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for the evening at leisure.

Sun 30 Apr

Morning at leisure for independent shopping and sightseeing. Afternoon transfer to the airport for your homeward flight.

The Mariinsky Theatre is an old building with little rake in the stalls. We can request balcony seats if you prefer but please note that these are smaller and closer together. We will endeavor to obtain the best available tickets for your personal preference so please discuss this with us at the time of booking.
