Fri 7 Jun
Morning arrival in Salzburg to check in at the 5-star Hotel Bristol, located in the heart of the city. A welcome dinner will be served in a local restaurant.
Sat 8 Jun
Join your guide for a morning tour of Salzburg along the theme ‘the city is a stage’. This will include visits to some of the most renowned sights, including Mozart’s birthplace where the family lived from 1747 to 1773, and the cathedral where he was baptised. Optional afternoon
performance at the Felsenreitschule before the evening performance at the Festspielhaus.
Sun 9 Jun
Today we visit Leopoldskron Palace and garden, bought by Max Reinhardt, co-founder of the Salzburg Festival, in the 1920s. It was here that Reinhardt wanted to realize his vision of baroque theatre performances, and we see the extravagant open air stage and neo-baroque park, complete
with a garden theatre and artificial ponds. After returning to the city for an independent lunch, we attend the afternoon performance at the Haus für Mozart, followed by a free evening.
Mon 10 Jun
This morning we walk to the Mozarteum for the final performance in the tour. Afternoon at leisure for independent sightseeing and shopping before a farewell dinner served in a local restaurant.
Tue 11 Jun
Morning at leisure before the mid-afternoon transfer to Salzburg airport for your homeward flight.
