Located in the heart of the historic centre of the city, the hotel is close to the Old Town Square and just a short walk to the Estates Theatre. There is time to rest or explore a little of this charming Czech capital before a welcome dinner at the hotel.

Join your guide for a morning walking tour of Prague which will focus on the area of Josefov, Prague’s Jewish Quarter, home to the Prague Jewish Museum and the birthplace of Franz Kafka. The tour ends with a backstage tour of the Estates Theatre, considered one of the most beautiful theatres in Europe. Lunch is at leisure before returning to the theatre for the opera performance later that afternoon.

Mon 30 Dec

Depart this morning for the Prague Castle complex, where visits will include the Old Royal Palace, the Cathedral of St Vitus, the Basilica of St George (the finest example of Romanesque architecture in Prague) and the picturesque Golden Lane. Lunch and the afternoon are at leisure before an evening concert at the Maisel Synagogue (to be confirmed nearer the time). This will be followed by dinner at the acclaimed Blue Duckling restaurant.

Tue 31 Dec

The final day of 2019 starts with a visit to Lobkowicz Palace. Built in the mid 16th century for one of the oldest families in Bohemia, it has a fascinating history and today houses one of the most interesting private collections in Europe, including hand-annotated manuscripts by Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart. This visit will be followed by a short concert. The afternoon is at leisure before the New Year’s Eve Gala Celebrations at the Estates Theatre.

Today is free for you to rest or explore your own choice of the many sites this wonderful city has to offer. An early dinner is offered before the New Year Concert by the Czech Philharmonic.

Check-out then transfer to the airport for the afternoon flight home.
