Itinerary

Thu 9 Apr

Early afternoon arrival in Berlin and check-in at the stylish 4-star Westin Grand Hotel. Located in the centre of the city, it is a short walking distance to many landmarks, including the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Rest and relax before a welcome dinner in a local restaurant that evening.

Fri 10 Apr

Join your guide this morning for an excursion to nearby Potsdam where you will visit Sanssouci Palace, the former summer residence of Frederick the Great of Prussia, and considered a rival to Versailles. Stroll around the spectacular terraced gardens before departing for lunch in a local restaurant. You will then return to Berlin for the recital that evening.

Sat 11 Apr

The day starts with a walking tour through Berlin’s Mitte district. Experience an insight into the evolution of Germany’s fascinating capital as you stroll along the Berlin Wall, follow Unter den Linden to the Brandenburg Gate, and see the rebuilt Reichstag building, the Holocaust Memorial and the infamous Checkpoint Charlie. Lunch and the afternoon are at leisure before the early evening opera performance.

Sun 12 Apr

Transfer to the Philharmonie for the late morning concert. This will be followed by a farewell lunch at Käfer - a rooftop restaurant located in the spectacular dome of the Reichstag, offering stunning views of the city. The rest of this Easter Sunday is free for you to enjoy as you wish.
