Early afternoon arrival in Paris and transfer to the 4-star Sofitel Le Scribe Hotel or similar. A welcome dinner will be served in the hotel or a local restaurant.

This morning we take a guided backstage tour of the Palais Garnier. Created by the architect Charles Garnier in 1875, the Palais Garnier consists of an “Italian-style” auditorium, with its ceiling painted in 1964 by Marc Chagall, and opulent public areas. The tour will be followed by lunch in a local restaurant. In the evening transfer to the Opéra Bastille for your first ballet performance.

Today is at leisure for you to make your own choice of the city’s many attractions. In the evening we return to the Palais Garnier for the second performance in the tour.

Check out and transfer to Gare du Nord for your homeward journey on Eurostar.
